Finding joy in Kutani ceramics

Kutani was born in Ishikawa in the center of Japan 360 years ago. Here I am expressing a new form of Kutani in my works such as vases, dishes, sake cups, and musical instruments that are inspired by a blend of the theme of “enjoy using” and the traditional essence of Kutani.

Kutani has bold and vibrant colors and form that has resulted in a demand for Kutani`s luxurious ornamental use. Unique shapes not bound by a fixed concept brings fun and joy into everyday life.
